Our Delicious Story

Chipotle comes from humble beginnings. It started in 1993, when Steve Ells, a graduate from the Culinary Institute of America, took an 85,000$ loan from his father and started the first-ever Chipotle in Denver, Colorado. The immense success of the first restaurant led Steve to open more restaurants and for Chipotle to gain fame throughout the U.S. After only ~28 years, Chipotle now has around 2,750 restaurants worldwide, a figure that is continually increasing.
